Just because summer is ending doesn’t mean fun has to end as
well. In fact, in a lot of ways it’s easier to have fun in fall without all the
heat and sun to worry about. There are plenty of things to do in the colder
months that are just as much fun as anything in summer, and with your kids in
school, these activities can even be used as motivators! Here are some ideas
for those colder or rainy days:
Indoor activities – There are plenty of places that offer
indoor fun year-round. Blazer tag is a game that can only be enjoyed indoors,
and is an extremely fun activity for kids that you can also participate in.
Arcades are another idea that you have to be indoors to enjoy, and it’s not
just for kids. Young adults and even grown-ups have fun playing the arcade
games and winning prizes. If your child is very active, try indoor rock
climbing walls! It’s safe, fun, and challenging both physically and
intellectually.
Go Karts – While this activity requires a lot of space and
therefore has to be outdoors, it is often more enjoyable in fall than in
summer. Instead of driving around and sweating in the burning sun, instead of
have a cool breeze blowing past you as you race around with your child in safe,
fast-paced fun. There are also some places that have Jr. tracks where the kids
can drive the karts themselves!
